ASSET International Ltd is part of the HS Utilities Group of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC.
Hill & Smith Holdings PLC is a decentralised group with specialisations primarily serving the
infrastructure, building and construction industries.

Responding to the need for worldwide transport infrastructure improvements, the group
has invested heavily in this area of its business, including the acquisition of businesses
with complimentary product lines as well as new technology.

ASSET International Ltd was established in Newport in 1953 as ARMCO manufacturing road barrier,
Multiplate corrugated steel structures and Helibore pipes. In 1986, it was acquired by Hill & Smith Holdings PLC and renamed ASSET International Ltd. In 1995 ASSET secured the license to manufacture WEHOLITE structured wall pipes for the UK from KWH Pipe and in 1998 the license was extended to cover Ireland and France.

During this period the product has been constantly reviewed and updated to meet widening
market requirements. ASSET has formed close partnerships with water authorities, civil
engineers and developers to meet and satisfy their demands.
