This section provides guidance on the selection ofmaterials suitable for providing structural support toWEHOLITE pipes. Materials which fulfil this role aretermed bedding and surround materials. The sectiondeals both with imported granular materials andmaterials excavated in the course of the works (selectedas dug) which are deemed suitable. All WEHOLITE pipesrequire adequate structural support to ensure their longterm performance.
