Handling
WEHOLITE pipes are strong, lightweight, and are
therefore
very easily handled.  However, it is necessary to take care to prevent
damage; in particular, pipes should not be thrown, dropped or
dragged.  If pipes are moved by rolling, it is necessary to ensure
that they are adequately supported along their length and properly
restrained on incliners.
Pipes should be suitably supported at
two places at least when being lifted.  Preferably, protected slings
should be used, but if metal hooks, chains, etc are used, padding
should be placed between them and the pipes.  If pipes are delivered
one inside the other, special care should be taken to avoid damage
during unloading.
If pipes are loaded or unloaded by mechanical means
(fork lift truck, cranes etc) care should be exercised to
avoid damage.
